Happy Anniversary! Practice updates & Announcements! Insurance Info!

We opened last year in November 2022 and have been proud to serve Bellingham and Washington State community members through the past year.

Thank you!

In my desire to create a safe place for patients, I’ve created a safe place for myself. The medical industrial complex is harmful to everyone - patients and providers. By supporting Spectrum, you have been a vital part of my goal to integrate my life and my role as a healthcare provider in a sustainable way. This year has been a huge year for personal and professional growth. Providing care in a way that feels ethical and sustainable has brought me closer to being the parent, partner, friend, and business owner and medical provider that I desire. Cheers to walking along side you and witnessing your life changes, transitions, and health journey! Here are some practice updates below.

Speaking

This year I’ve had the pleasure of spreading knowledge by speaking for  the Mouth Baker Nurse Practitioner Association on Perimenopause and Menopause and ARNPs United of Washington’s Annual Conference on Pelvic Exams through a trauma informed lens. I look forward to continuing to support clinicians and students with education in 2024. Reach out if you have a topic in mind!

Menopause Care

I’ve been a proud North American Menopause Society member and provider for several years. One of my personal goals has been to sit for the North American Menopause Society Certification exam,  but I delayed this during my pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and as Spectrum opened. This October 2023, I passed the certification exam and became a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP).  I’m proud to represent my dedication to evidence based menopause care in this way!

Insurance Updates

I’m excited to finally start accepting several insurances. I’m grateful for your patience and understanding! If you see your insurance listed, we’ll use your insurance at future visits, utilize copays, and you’ll receive a bill after our new insurance biller corresponds with your insurance provider. Our biller is starting in the next 30 days, so some billing communication may be delayed. If you are paying out of pocket or paying for services out of network, you will still be expected to pay for services at the time of service and submit to your insurance company with a superbill receipt after your visit.
